The Battle of Reed's Bridge in August of 1863 was a pivotal event in the Union's march toward Little Rock.
The Confederates, led by Brig. General John S. Marmaduke, held them back, forcing the Union to find a new route to Little Rock. This battle is recreated in odd-numbered years and includes period costumes and demonstrations of life on and off the battlefield.
